Contact: Jamie Leszczynski
The Manor at Seneca Hill makes starting a healthcare career easy with on-the-job training and a paid certification program.
The 120-bed skilled nursing facility employees can take advantage of a five-week hands-on program at The Manor to advance their careers as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The program consists of 240 clinical, class, and lab training hours. (While in the program, full-time employment is available as Resident Care Aides.) The average certification cost is $2,000, and The Manor provides this at no cost to anyone interested in beginning a healthcare career.
Seven employees, including Ava Keller, Carissa Coomey, Tasha Sharp, Orissa Nelson, Heather Richway, Christina Losurdo-Recore, and Victoria Andrea, took advantage of the paid training.
The Manor is still recruiting CNAs as it begins planning its next paid training program. To learn more or register for the course, call 315-349-5300 or visit www.oswegohealth.org/cna. Employees are eligible for full-time employment and a $3,500 sign-on bonus upon completion. For experienced CNAs looking, a sign-on bonus of $5,000 is available.
