Oswego Health Promotes Dawn Smith to Director of Springside

Oswego Health makes it a priority to recognize staff for their hard work and commitment to the organization and the community. One key staff member who continues to shine is Dawn Smith.
Smith has been promoted to Director of Springside, a premier independent, senior retirement community located on 36 acres just minutes from downtown Oswego.
Smith is a familiar face for Oswego Health as she’s been with the nonprofit health system for the past fourteen years. In 2010, she joined us as a Human Resources Specialist before transitioning to a Clinical Administrative Assistant. In 2015 she was promoted to Volunteer Coordinator where she oversaw volunteer placement throughout the organization and worked alongside key community stakeholders. In 2020 she transitioned to Ancillary Services Coordinator and supported the lab and medical imaging teams throughout the pandemic. In 2021 she transitioned to play a more critical role in supporting patients and staff at the Lobdell Center for Mental Health and Wellness at Lakeview.
Throughout her career, Smith has demonstrated a keen understanding of fostering a positive work environment and empowering teams to achieve their fullest potential. She embodies the values that are at the heart of Oswego Health, including maintaining a positive relationship throughout the community.
As Director, Smith will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of Springside. From oversight of all Springside departments and their respective staff to delivering a high-quality senior facility product, Smith will serve as a liaison to both residents and the community.
