As a nonprofit community healthcare system, Oswego Health relies on the generosity of local donors to help provide exceptional medical care to the residents of Central New York. This year marks the 38th annual Oswego Health Foundation Golf Tournament, a long-standing tradition vital in supporting patient care within the community.

Since its inception, the tournament has been a key fundraising event, attracting support from local businesses, sponsors, and community members committed to advancing healthcare in the region. Over the years, the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in 2024 alone, the tournament raised more than $144,000. These funds are directly reinvested into Oswego Health’s patient care programs, ensuring that every dollar raised goes toward providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to those in need.

The tournament will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Oswego Country Club, with The Hayner Hoyt Corporation as the presenting sponsor. This year’s event promises to continue its legacy of excellence, fostering a sense of community while supporting critical healthcare initiatives in Central New York.

“Oswego Health is dedicated to transforming the healthcare landscape in CNY, " said Jeremy Thurston, President of The Hayner Hoyt Corporation. “Its proactive vision aims to ensure quality care is accessible to all residents and improve the community's overall health. At The Hayner Hoyt Corporation, we take pride in supporting this mission, reinforcing Oswego Health's role as a crucial healthcare provider while establishing a more broadly standard for excellence in healthcare.”

Michele Hourigan, Director of Business and Community Development for the Oswego Health Foundation, emphasized the tournament's importance in supporting Oswego Health’s mission. “As a nonprofit community healthcare system, we rely on the support of individuals and businesses to help us deliver the outstanding care that our patients deserve,” said Hourigan. “The proceeds from this golf tournament will directly and meaningfully impact patient care in our community. We are grateful to our sponsors and participants for making this tradition a success year after year.”

Beyond fundraising events like the annual golf tournament, Oswego Health remains dedicated to making a significant financial impact on the community. The health system annually commits $21 million to support care for the area's uninsured, underinsured, and indigent populations. The ongoing support from sponsors like The Hayner Hoyt Corporation allows Oswego Health to continue offering these

essential services while maintaining its mission to provide safe, high-quality care for everyone in the community.
