Big News: Pulmonology Care Is Open At Oswego Hospital!

We’re shouting it from the rooftops—Pulmonology care is open at Oswego Hospital! Our brand-new Pulmonology Clinic will open its doors in the Health Services Center – Suite G70.

This much-anticipated specialty service has been nearly two years in the making and marks a major milestone in our mission to expand access to vital care right here in Central New York. It’s also one more way we’re investing in what matters most—you, our patients, our community, and our team.

We Care About Easy Breathing
From chronic lung conditions to complex breathing disorders, our Pulmonology team is here to help patients breathe easier—literally. With decades of combined inpatient and outpatient experience, the clinic will treat a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Asthma

  • COPD

  • Chronic cough

  • Pulmonary fibrosis

  • Sarcoidosis

  • Lung nodules

  • Pulmonary hypertension

  • Bronchiectasis

  • Sleep apnea

  • Shortness of breath

Services offered include pulmonary function testing (PFT), CPAP/BiPAP therapy management, bronchoscopy referrals, smoking cessation support, and oxygen therapy coordination.

And the impact doesn’t stop there. These board-certified specialists will also support our inpatient care teams, providing advanced critical care expertise that strengthens care system-wide.

Meet Our Pulmonology Providers

Rohini Singh Chatterjee, MD, MS
Dr. Chatterjee brings a wealth of experience from both military and civilian medicine. She most recently served as Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at Wright Patterson Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and as Co-Director of the ICU. Her background includes serving as a Critical Care Air Transport Physician for the U.S. Air Force, transporting critically ill patients across the globe. She brings deep expertise in pulmonary diseases, critical care, immunotherapy, and smoking cessation to our community.

Girish Trikha, MD
A familiar face in the region, Dr. Trikha has nearly two decades of experience in Pulmonary, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine. He previously served as Chief of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at CNY Pulmonary and Sleep and held roles at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Upstate Medical University, where he also teaches as an Associate Professor. His passion for patient care and medical education is unmatched.
