Grief touches all of us at some point in life, yet it can feel incredibly isolating. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. You have options here in your community.
At the Lobdell Center: Grief Support Group
Grief can be overwhelming, unpredictable, and deeply personal. At the Lobdell Center, our Grief Support Group provides a safe, compassionate space for individuals navigating the pain of loss. Whether your grief is recent or something you've carried for years, you are welcome here.
This group offers support from others who understand firsthand what it’s like to experience a loss. We recognize that grief is not linear—it ebbs and flows in waves—and our sessions are designed to support individuals at every stage of their journey.
Our group focuses on:
- Validating your emotions—You’ll feel heard and understood.
- Building connection—Find comfort in community and shared experience.
- Learning coping strategies—Discover tools to help manage your grief.
- Providing hope and guidance—Gain access to community resources that can support you beyond the group.
Group members are encouraged to:
- Share their stories in a respectful and supportive environment
- Engage in meaningful discussions
- Participate in activities that can also be used at home to help ease the grieving process.

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
