Oswego Health Promotes Daniel McManus to Therapy Supervisor

Oswego Health makes it a priority to recognize staff for their hard work and commitment to the organization and its patients. One key staff member who continues to shine and has truly stepped up is Daniel McManus.
McManus has been promoted to Therapy Supervisor at Oswego Health. McManus started at Oswego Health as a Mental Health Clinician in 2019. In 2022, he received his Mental Health Counselor license and in 2023 he was promoted to Clinical Lead for outpatient services. Throughout this time, he’s also taught at SUNY Oswego as an Adjunct Professor.
McManus graduated with a Master’s of Science from SUNY Oswego in Mental Health Counseling in 2014 before earning his Bachelors in Psychology in 2012 and his Bachelor of Science from SUNY Fredonia in 1996.
As Therapy Supervisor, McManus will provide clinical supervision of therapists throughout the mental health division including inpatient, outpatient, and youth clinics. Overseeing a department of 23 therapists, McManus will collaborate with other members of the leadership team to ensure that high-quality, client-centered care is provided.

The Mental Health and Wellness Services at Oswego Health provide a wide array of psychiatric services to Central New York residents of all ages. With more than 100 highly trained, professional staff members, the department is certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission to provide inpatient, outpatient, and children/youth psychiatric services. Whether it be a board-certified psychiatrist or one of the certified counselors on staff, each team member has undergone extensive training to help and support clients in working toward their goals quickly, professionally, and confidentially.
