Clark Sargeant, MBA, BSN, RN Joins Oswego Health as Executive Director of Mental Health and Wellness

Oswego Health welcomes Clark Sargeant, MBA, BSN, RN as their new Executive Director of Mental Health and Wellness.
Sargeant is a familiar face to Oswego Health as he previously worked in the Medical Surgical Unit as a Senior RN from 2012-2018. Since then he has worked throughout Central New York including as a Nurse Manager at Crouse Hospital from 2018-2020 and then in his most recent position as Director of Primary Care Operations and Integrated Health for Liberty Resources. Here he was responsible for the operations of a primary care clinic within an Integrated Healthcare Center that offered mental health, pharmacy, and substance use disorder treatment.
Sargeant earned his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Jack Welch Management Institute in Virginia in 2022, his BSN from Utica University in 2017, and his Associate of Science in Nursing from Crouse Hospital College of Nursing in 2012.
As Executive Director of Mental Health and Wellness for Oswego Health, Sargeant will oversee operations for Inpatient, Outpatient Adult, Outpatient Youth, School-based, and Assertive Community Treatment services. In addition, he will establish goals, budget, plan, organize, implement, and coordinate all mental health programs and collaborate with the local governing unit and senior leadership team to ensure that psychiatric needs are being met for the community.

The Mental Health and Wellness Services at Oswego Health provide a wide array of psychiatric services to Central New York residents of all ages. With more than 100 highly trained, professional staff members, the department is certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission to provide inpatient, outpatient, and children/youth psychiatric services. Treatment is covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and most health insurance plans. Whether it be a board-certified psychiatrist or one of the certified counselors on staff, each team member has undergone extensive training to help and support clients in working toward their goals quickly, professionally, and confidentially.
