Provider Spotlight: Meet Jamie Wallace, FNP, at Oswego PrimeCare East

This month, we’re excited to shine our Provider Spotlight on Jamie Wallace, FNP, a dedicated family nurse practitioner at Oswego PrimeCare East. Jamie is passionate about her patients—and thrilled to be practicing right here at home.
A Professional Journey Rooted in Care
Originally from Mexico, NY, Jamie earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023 from the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University, following her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018.
Jamie’s connection to Oswego Health began early. During her training, she completed over 150 clinical hours at our Fulton Urgent Care Center, where she experienced firsthand the compassionate, patient-centered care that defines our organization.
Before joining Oswego PrimeCare East, Jamie worked as a Registered Nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital, caring for patients in both the COVID ICU and Surgical ICU. These experiences shaped her skill, empathy, and dedication to patient wellness across all stages of care.
Why Primary Care?
Although Jamie initially envisioned a career in orthopedics, primary care quickly captured her heart.
“Primary care is a little bit of everything,” she explains. “I love forming long-term relationships with my patients, being there through every stage, and really digging in when something new arises. It’s meaningful work—and I absolutely love it.”
Why Oswego Health?
For Jamie, coming back home was an easy decision.
“My best friend, Carissa Tombolillo (HR Business Partner), already worked at Oswego Health,” Jamie shared. “After talking with her, it was a no-brainer. The commute is short, my team is fantastic, and the patients are even better.”

Life Outside the Clinic
When she’s not caring for patients, Jamie is busy keeping up with her energetic three-year-old daughter, Marley, who she lovingly describes as “quite the little diva.” Between soccer games and playtime, Jamie finds balance through staying active herself—especially running.
She’s even a regular participant in the Boilermaker Road Race—a testament to her drive and perseverance (because we all know that’s no small feat!).
