David Bass, DO

David Bass, DO, FACC is a board-certified specialist in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine with extensive experience caring for patients across New York State. He earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Nassau University Medical Center.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bass has served patients in a variety of clinical settings, including as a noninvasive cardiologist at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds diplomate status with both the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the National Board of Echocardiography.

At Oswego Health’s Center for Cardiology, Dr. Bass is known for his tireless commitment to heart health and patient education. Beyond the clinic, he channels his passion for wellness into storytelling as a children’s book author. In 2021, he published Super Sammy Saves the Day, a comic-style book that uses humor and heroism to inspire children to make healthy choices, practice kindness, and build courage—proving that heart health can start at any age.
