Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Nursing Officer

As the Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Oswego Health, Kathryn "Katie" Pagliaroli plays a pivotal role in steering the organization toward its strategic goals while enhancing its community presence. In her dual capacity as COO and CNO, Katie oversees the comprehensive management of clinical operations and nursing services, ensuring alignment with Oswego Health’s vision and mission.

Katie's role encompasses the formulation and execution of strategic plans to drive organizational growth and operational excellence. She spearheads initiatives that integrate clinical practices with strategic objectives, enhances patient care quality, and fortifies Oswego Health’s position as a leading regional healthcare provider. Her leadership extends to optimizing operational efficiencies, advancing clinical and nursing standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Since joining Oswego Health in 2001 as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, Katie has rapidly ascended through a series of increasingly responsible roles, including Clinical Trainer, RN Case Manager, and Director of Quality Management. Her extensive experience encompasses a broad spectrum of leadership roles, culminating in her current position as SVP, COO, and CNO. Her progressive leadership journey reflects her commitment to clinical excellence and operational innovation.

Katie earned her Master of Science in Management from Keuka College in 2009 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2001. Her outstanding contributions to the field have been widely recognized. In 2013, she was honored as one of Oswego County Magazine’s "40 Under 40." She received the CNY Organization for Nurse Executives and Leaders Regional Leadership Award in 2019 and the Rising Leader Award from the New York Organization of Nurse Leaders in 2022. Additionally, she was named the Healthcare Executive of the Year by the Central New York Business Journal in 2022 and recognized as one of Becker's Hospital Review's "Hospital and Health System Chief Nursing Officers to Know" in 2023 and 2025.

Katie actively contributes to the broader healthcare community through her service on the boards of the Desens House and the New York Organization of Nurse Leaders. Her leadership continues to shape the future of healthcare at Oswego Health and beyond.
