To promote bike safety, Oswego Hospital's emergency department provides a free bicycle helmet fitting program. Each year, trained department members fit hundreds of individuals with a free bike helmet.
Oswego Hospital also works with local law enforcement agencies and the Oswego County Health Department to ensure bike helmet safety throughout the community. Oswego Hospital participates in bike rodeos and other bike safety events, where bike helmets and fittings are available.
The program is funded through generous donations made by community members and organizations. Anyone interested in supporting this program can contact the emergency department at 315.349.5712.
