Dr. Ayres earned his doctor of medicine degree from New York Medical College in New York City. He completed his surgical internship at Dartmouth’s Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, N.H., and his orthopedic surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 30 years of orthopedic experience.
Dr. Ayres is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a National Medical School Honor Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Ayres, whose father was a physician, said he wanted to become a doctor himself ever since he was in the sixth grade.
