Oswego Health joined a number of area health care providers as it participated in Huhtamaki’s Employee Health Fair. The event took place in the fitness center at Huhtamaki’s Fulton plant and offered Huhtamaki employees a wealth of information on healthcare.

“We were pleased to be a part of the health fair,” said Jennifer Martin, director of marketing for Oswego Health. “It was a pleasure to meet Plant Manager Mark Southwick and so many of Huhtamaki’s employees.”

Oswego Health offered free screenings and demonstrations including balance tests, blood pressure screenings, self-massage for medical discomfort and healthy lifestyle choices. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity sign up for Oswego Health’s e-newsletters and publications.

“The health fair was a great success,” said Huhtamaki Safety Manager and coordinator of the event Rick Sutliff. “Maintaining good health is an important factor in being safe at the workplace. At Huhtamaki we believe in partnering with our employees and doing what’s best for both them and our plant. With Oswego Health being the area’s primary healthcare provider, I’m glad they were able to join us. We received excellent feedback from those that attended the health fair and we anticipate hosting a similar event in the future.”
