Oswego Health offers the most comprehensive array of imaging technology in the region.

The most modern fixed 1.5 tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner was recently installed at Oswego Hospital. This cutting-edge technology depicts and clarifies diseases of the brain, spine, liver, pancreas, kidney, uterus and other soft-tissue organs. It is also often invaluable for many orthopedic diagnoses such as knee meniscal tear or shoulder rotator cuff injury.

The medical imaging department also offers computed tomography (CT) imaging at several locations, including Oswego Hospital and the Central Square and Fulton Medical Centers.

Other imaging services include general X-rays, interventional radiology nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, vascular ultrasound and echocardiography.

Oswego Health has convenient imaging locations throughout Oswego County, including Oswego, Fulton, Central Square and Pulaski.

All medical imaging services are accredited by the American College of Radiology.

Clinical Accessibility/Operating Room

In the recently renovated 7-suite surgery center, our 24/7 anesthesia and nursing coverage offers surgeons the ability to operate around the clock performing planned, urgent and emergent cases.

Multidisciplinary-Approach/Medical-Surgical Unit

Located on floors 3 and 4 of the hospital, these units provide inpatient and cohorted observation care to admitted patients. A team of dedicated hospitalists focuses on a team-oriented, multidisciplinary approach that ensures optimal care and continuous communication with their medical staff colleagues.

Best Practice Care/Nursing

Highly skilled and dedicated nursing staff deliver care by recognizing the importance of best practice protocol and accountability during care delivery. Acting on this mantra, our nursing staff have trained and engaged in Lean Six Sigma modules to ensure operations and outcomes are the best in practice.
