Support Oswego Health 2020

Support Oswego Health 2020

Our valued community partners, Novelis and Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce as well as our friends at Quilt with Passion are coming together (online) to announce a "virtual community call to action" to support medical professionals caring for our community.

Join us in a homemade, mask-making campaign (following CDC guidelines) and various acts of kindness to support the amazing medical personnel in our community.

WHO: Open to all community members – we’re putting the UNITY in community...

WHAT: Virtual Community Call to Action - sewing face masks for medical personnel at Oswego Health and local healthcare facilities... and various acts of kindness.

WHERE: online/virtual aka at least 6ft away from anyone else.

WHY: Medical professionals need personal protective equipment (PPE) to safely combat COVID-19 and help keep our community safe & healthy. There is a nationwide shortage of basic medical PPE such as gloves, goggles and especially face masks!

HOW: YOU can help!

Do you sew? Are you crafty? We’re calling all creators to put their helping hands to good use. We need 2,020 face masks.

Visit Quilt with Passion or for instructions and 'how to' details including materials needed.

Homemade face masks can be:

Mailed to: SOH 2020 c/o Oswego Health Foundation, 110 West Sixth Street, Oswego, NY 13126
Dropped off at: 127 West Sixth Street, Oswego, NY 13126. Please place masks inside of the green Novelis bin located on the front porch. If someone is dropping off at the same time, please be sure to practice social distancing and wait for them to finish before approaching the porch.

Donated masks are thoroughly laundered and sanitized by Oswego Health before being distributed for use.

For every 15 face masks donated, Novelis will donate $20 to Oswego Health Foundation (until we reach 2,020 face masks).

If sewing is not your forte, there are many other ways to show your support.

Medical professionals work day & night to test, treat & care for patients across our region. Please take a moment to post on this event page:
-- a note of thanks
-- a video message of gratitude
-- words of encouragement
-- photos/videos of you making face masks

Let’s show our healthcare heroes that the community is cheering for them -- spread positivity (not germs)!

Please consider donating new/unopened N95 masks, safety goggles, face shields, gloves and hand sanitizer to distribute to medical personnel and first responders. If you have any of these items to donate, please email:

These in-kind donations are tax deductible!

If you are interested in making a monetary donation to the Oswego Health Foundation, please visit:

As a not-for-profit community healthcare system, Oswego Health counts on support from generous donors to help deliver the outstanding medical care the community deserves. In times like this, support from the community is more important than ever.
