Each of our affiliates—Oswego Hospital; Seneca Hill Manor; Springside at Seneca Hill; OH Properties; Physician Care, PC; OH Services; Oswego Health Foundation; and Oswego Health Home Care—is committed to following the guidelines of the Oswego Health Compliance Plan. A copy of our Compliance Plan is included below.
The Compliance Program was created to guide our board of directors, officers, employees, agents and vendors to perform their work in accordance with Oswego Health's ethical standards and all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations presents ongoing challenges due to the complexity of the healthcare environment and the constantly changing regulatory landscape. However, we remain committed to ensuring compliance in everything we do.
Our employees are educated on the importance of compliance starting with their new employee orientation and continuing throughout their career at Oswego Health. Each and every one of us has an obligation to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Thank you for your commitment.
Do You Have a Compliance Concern to Report?
You have options for bringing a compliance concern forward. You can:

Do you have a compliance concern, but you're concerned about bringing it forward? The compliance hotline allows you to report your concern confidentially and anonymously, if you prefer. If you would rather submit a written report, you can do so at ethicspoint.com.
The purpose of the hotline is to provide you with an alternative way to report suspected compliance violations. The hotline is a dedicated line, and the compliance staff will not attempt to trace the call or figure out who the caller was. EthicsPoint is an outside firm that takes calls or reports about compliance concerns. Calls and reports are documented and forwarded to the compliance officer at Oswego Health. An inquiry process is started as warranted, and information will then be provided back to EthicsPoint, who then updates the status of the inquiry on the website. Any concern reported will not result in retaliation of any sort.
Available 24 hours a day. The phone number, 888.373.5826, allows you to speak directly to staff at EthicsPoint, an outside firm that answers calls about compliance concerns over the phone or through electronic submission at ethicspoint.com. When you call or write, you should describe the suspected compliance problem in as much detail as possible. You do not need to provide your name or any information that may identify you.
Report any concerns regarding unethical activity, such as:
- Violations of code of conduct (page 5 of the Compliance Plan)
- Fraud, waste and abuse
- Anti-kickback and self-referral laws
- Patient's Bill of Rights
- The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)
- Privacy and security (HIPAA)
- Identity theft
- Conflicts of interest
This list does not include all of the possible violations that should be reported but provides examples of the different types of things that could be discussed with compliance staff.
