With Lifeline from Oswego Hospital, help is just a button press away.
Oswego Hospital Lifeline provides Oswego County’s senior community and others with a safe way to remain living in their own homes. For more than 30 years, Philips Lifeline has enabled millions of people to live with greater independence and peace of mind.
When Lifeline subscribers need assistance, they simply press the waterproof personal help button that can be worn either as a pendant or as a wristband. When pushed, the button activates a small in-home communicator that automatically dials Philips Lifeline. Ready to take calls 24-hours a day are specially-trained staff members. When a call is received from a Lifeline subscriber, the caller’s medical history is immediately available on a computer screen for the staff person answering the phone. If help is needed, that assistance is immediately dispatched.
Lifeline encourages users of its medical alert services to consult with their caregivers or service provider to determine which style of help button is most appropriate for them. It is important that users make an informed choice to find the most suitable method for wearing their help button so that it is available at all times to summon for emergency help, if necessary. It should be noted that the popular pendant style is not designed to break away.
Lifeline AutoAlert
Our new lifeline with Authas specialized fall detection capabilities. If you fall and are unable to push the button on your pendant because you are disoriented, immobilized, or unconscious, help will be automatically summoned. The new AutoAlert adds a another layer of protection. This enhanced service option can provide even greater peace of mind and confidence. Lifeline is the ONLY medical alert service provider that integrates this capability into a pendant-style Help Button.
