The Fulton medical imaging department features the most advanced equipment available in the community. The department provides general x-rays, computed tomography (CT), digital fluoroscopy and
EKG services. Magnectic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services are also available.

The new general digital x-ray room has the capacity to take an image in real time, making it immediately available for the radiologist to read. The images can also be sent to a physician’s office through the Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).

Another feature of the new advanced digital x-ray equipment is dual energy, which allows two scans to be taken nearly simultaneously of either the chest or abdomen. Radiologists can then have three views that include a standard image, an image with bones "subtracted" for an unobstructed view of soft tissue and an image of the bones to highlight foreign objects or calcified structures that may be present.

A private area within the medical imaging department offers digital mammogram, bone density screening and ultrasound testing. A comfortable sub-waiting area and cozy pink terry cloth robes are a part of this state-of-the-art department.
